Ready To Step Into The Tides of Massage and Wellness?

We respect our massage therapist highly, for their time invested, time spent learning in school, and time spent solving issues of the body. Therefore, we have in place a Late-Cancellation/No-Show policy that is signed and acknowledged prior to completing booking any one appointment. We also acknowledge that accidents happen and we certainly do not want to charge you in the case of a dire emergency, however, our therapist must be paid for being present for the massage even though you are not.

If you fail to at least attempt to reach out to re-schedule or cancel before you reach 24 hours or less before the time of your upcoming massage, you will be subject to the Late-Cancellation Policy. This is also the case for if you "No-Call-No-Show."

Rescheduling 24 or more hours before the time of your appointment is encouraged and Fee-Free.

First Offense: You are required to pay 25% of the cost of the scheduled service before attending your next appointment, or at the time of arrival.

Second Offense:  You are required to pay 50% of the cost of the scheduled service before attending your next appointment, or at the time of arrival.

Third and Ongoing Offenses:  You are required to pay 100% of the cost of the scheduled service before attending your next appointment, or at the time of arrival.

If you are regularly late on rescheduling an appointment in time, there is no penalty other than the late fee. Lunar Tides Massage & Wellness will continue to offer you treatment and services as long as all fees are paid before attending your next appointment, or at the time of arrival to your next appointment.

If you are unable to pay a Late fee for any reason, no matter the number of offenses, Lunar Tides Massage & Wellness will exercise it's right to refuse service. Lunar Tides Massage & Wellness will attempt to receive payment from you through negotiation. If negotiations fail and the amount due is enough to require involvement of authorities, Lunar Tides Massage & Wellness will take legal action. At any point you refuse to pay the fee, Lunar Tides Massage & Wellness can exercise it's right to permanently refuse service.

Luna has a very holistic approach to treatment and massage therapy. She also holds a very spiritual awareness and respect of it as well. Therefore, Luna prefers to be a little more 'grounded' than some therapists.

Luna offers massage from a cushion surrounded massage table 6 or so inches off the floor (At times this may not be the case) She describes her perspective during the massage to be more grounding and feel more in control of her motions and pressure. As for a client's perspective, the experience is also more grounded but seems more relaxing as they can feel more free to move and position themselves in comfort.

Luna will always check in with you about pressure, comfort, and especially checking in during massage to sensitive areas and intensity. Never be afraid to let her know your discomforts or pressure sensitivities during the massage and included in with your intake forms. That being said, any and all vital information neglected to be shared with Luna through the health intake paper work or verbally as it changes, can not be used to hold Luna or Lunar Tides Massage & Wellness liable for any reason.

Luna uses many modalities of massage in a session, this is because every one body is different and can respond differently at different times in our lives. This is includes but is not limited to: effleurage, petrissage, AROM stretches, friction, cross fiber friction, myofascial techniques, neuromuscular techniques, elements of treager and rolfing, cupping therapy, hot and cold therapy (hydrotherapy), and many more. At any time that Luna suggests a modality you are not comfortable with (all modalities unfamiliar to a client are explained before) you are responsible to voice this.

There is no judgement in the massage room. It is a place of healing and vulnerability. Crying and taking moments of expression or time to have a moment is whole-heartedly welcome. A massage experience can be spiritual and emotional, and there is no judgement in the massage room. In addition, all information shared is in compliance with patient-confidentiality laws and HIPPA.

Lunar Tides Massage & Wellness LLC will working with MVA and L/I claims, but is presently working on the application process for accepting those claims and cannot currently accept those claims.

Lunar Tides Massage & Wellness is sad to say that we will NOT be accepting any other forms of insurance. However, upon payment of service, an invoice or receipt is given to you and you can take it to your insurance. They will be able to pay you directly in return if your insurance accepts/covers massage.

Insurance, as much as it is helpful, has a lot involved for them to accept covering a private massage studio. Not only are there many hoops to jump through for application, the average insurance does not payout what you as a client would if you were to pay out of pocket. Most insurances are only willing to cover up to $70 for a 60-minute massage service.

From Luna's personal experience, in order to make a living off of insurance paying only half of your rates, you have to make up for it by cramming more clients into your schedule, which inevitably cuts into everyone's time. Remember that Luna is paid a separate wage to that of the service price.

So for the sake of everyone's experience at Lunar Tides Massage & Wellness LLC, we do not take insurance.

Lunar Tides Massage & Wellness has a treatment plan discount, also called the Loyalty discount, that helps mitigate costs for those in need of more than 2 appointments a month. Giving you $15 off each appointment if you schedule 3 or more appointments of any kind within a month period. Exceptions to this rule can apply at the discretion of Luna.
